The ambiance was very welcome with the hostess. They were very friendly. The service was really good and our wait staff gave us really good options and asked was anyone gluten free due to dishes and drinks that can be prepared with this in mind. The food was a bit pricey. They automatically included a 20% gratuity. There's really no parking around so it's best to take an Uber or Lyft to the restaurant. This was my first time here and will come back for sure. A really good menu with excellent entrees to choose from. The dessert menu was OUTSTANDING!!!!! You must try one of their unique delicious dessert's.

Absolutely 100% recommend. Don't even question it if you're thinking it. My amazing girlfriend brought me here on Friday for my birthday and it was a phenomenal experience. I ordered an old fashioned with Angel's Envy to start. You can tell a lot about a place by their old fashioned and this one was solid and well balanced in flavors. The Negroni Fumo(I think?) was smoky and a little overwhelming at first. But the Jell-O shot it comes with is a cool touch! We started with the agnello pizza and it was amazing! I personally loved the lamb on it and thought that it made a great pairing with my old fashioned. I would give the pizza a 9/10. I ordered the Campannelle Nera which is the lobster pasta. I would easily order it again. It was fantastic. It had black pasta with a red sauce and the lobster was cooked perfectly. My girlfriend ordered the parpadelle which comes with veal and a white sauce. It was also a solid choice. We ordered a lasagna to go and when I say the lasagna was a 10/10, I mean it. It's a 40 layer lasagna and has a rich yet not overwhelming taste to it. I could eat the whole thing in one sitting and not feel like it was too much. We also ordered the vanilla mango swirl soft serve and the blueberry lemon cake. Both were great dessert choices. The service was amazing. From presentation of drinks to speed of service, everything was on point. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. And the staff even wrote a birthday card for me which is something I've never seen done before! The ambiance on the side of the restaurant we were on was super romantic. The lighting was a tad dimmer but had windows to see outside. The booth side of the table had a nice plush seat. Beautiful interior design. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Almost everything was 5/5. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and experience. Please do yourself a favor and try this restaurant.

Great food and great service! Obviously but photos you can tell how beautifully the restaurant is decorated. We got some cocktails but I don't think they're as good as the food. Apps: we got the duck ravioli, crispy cauliflower, and grilled artichokes. We liked them in that order, just didn't think the artichokes were as good as the others but still good! Entree: lasagna - if you like short rib, you'll love this. Rich but not too much and a good size to share Tiramisu: I'm a chocolate person so I love the chocolate sphere. Overall good but not my favorite thing

OBSSESSED!!! This is such an amazing spot!!! It's so hard to get reservations but when you get the reservation just do it!!! I had to put down a $70 deposit to hold my seat, but they you get that money back if you don't cancel last minute. If you don't book early you'll be left with later dinner hours between the hours of 8-10 pm. There's tons of seating options, but you can't really go wrong with any of the sections of the restaurant. The service was great 10/10 The service was fairly fast and our waiter was super informative!!! The food was DIVINE!!! We ordered the Pappardelle - 200/10 my favorite!! Even better than the lasagna to me. I ordered the lasagna and I actually thought it tasted better reheated and eaten for breakfast the next day, maybe I was just too full when I had it that night but it's really good. One of the best lasagnas I've ever had! I'm not a huge lasagna girl. Famous Lasgna - 9/10 reallllyyyy goood! Focaccia- 7/10 Pepperoni pizza - 8/10 Oysters - 8/10 Gelato - 9/10 The ambiance was sexy and grown. Nice mood lighting and beautiful interior. Overall, highly recommend this spot and I'll definitely be back!!!

I was here this past Monday to celebrate a friend's birthday and we'd highly recommend making a reservation a few days in advance. In general, our server was pretty helpful and attentive, and the food came out within 15 minutes after ordering. I shared a few things with a couple friends because we wanted to try a variety. ARANCINI - 14 Each order comes with four fried balls of mozzarella. They were so crispy on the outside but so soft and gooey on the inside. The cheese was so good and the Calabrian chili oil on the side only enhanced the experience. We'd definitely recommend these as an appetizer to share! FUNGHI PIZZA - 25 Nothing to write home about. I expected more umami from the mushroom pizza but the mushrooms were bland and there wasn't too much flavor in general. You could probably get a better mushroom pizza at a late night local pizza chain. Pretty boring, would not recommend, but at least there were lots of mushrooms though. LASAGNA - 38 So good! The portion size is on the smaller side but the infamous 40 layer lasagna is only available during dinner time! The short rib layers were full of flavor and the cheese was so fresh, stretchy yet creamy at the same time. The sauce on the side was also great. It is on the pricier side, but if you're already at L'Ardente, you might as well try the lasagna! Good experience for the most part. I would recommend stopping by during dinner to try the lasagna. Good ambiance and interior, very elegant.

We were very pleased with the food and service. The food arrived pretty quickly and everything was delicious. We started with the Duck Hunt which came in cute little duck cups. The sauce with the duck ravioli was very flavorful. For my entree I got the pappardelle which was cooked and flavored perfectly. The portion was also good. To finish it off, we had the Il Tropicale which had banana, coconut semifreddo, chocolate-coconut cake, and passion fruit to balance the sweetness. All the ingredients complimented each other. We are excited to return to try other items.

My friend Tara L. recommended L'Ardente for my DC trip and she was point! From the coat check (a novelty to Miamians, and with it being in the 50s I did need to use it) to the food itself my dinner was top notch. Dining solo, I had a spot on their pizza bar so I got to see the magic in progress whether from the pizza oven or the ASMR of the slicing of fresh naturally salty prosciutto I enjoyed with sweet rich fig jam and freshly toasted bread. My next yummy flavor combination was from the burrata. Instead of the traditional slices of cheese and bread, L'Ardente's is a creamy dollop served with a sundried tomato purée, pine nuts & edible flowers and pane bianco. Make sure to have space for a main course like their 40 layer lasagna with short rib & deliciously aromatic mornay truffles (I didn't #leftovers) This dish was well flavored and the pasta slightly past al dente. It is a must have! Some of that space went instead to their tableside tiramisu flambee from the separate dessert menu. Besides the artistry (and as a 90/s kid Beavis & Butthead moment of fire, fire) of a solid chocolate ball melting to give way to spongy ice cream and cake. It's made even better with a snifter of Montenegro Amaro. The tasty meal described above was made even better with the pleasant & attentive service of Meryem, my awesome waitress as well as the bar team's recommendation. I would very much recommend L'Ardente for a night of classy Italian in DC!
